Silver Bastard (Silver Valley #1) by Joanna Wylde

I loved Joanna Wylde and her writing style. Her books are perfection. Silver Bastard was a great quick read for me. Once I picked it up, I could not put it down. I had to know what was going to happen with the characters. I had some problems with it but overall it was still a good book and I can't wait for the next book in the series. I love how this series is different than her other series the Reapers MC. It isn't about a MC but a town and the people that live there. I loved all the characters. Joanna Wylde did not disappoint with this book.

I don't remember the Silver Bastard in any of the Reapers MC books but past characters from those book make an appearance in this book and I was a little confused. It seemed like the two MC were close but I don't ever remember them being mentioned. I remember Puck but I didn't know he belonged to Silver Bastard. I feel like I should read the other books again just to see if they're in them.

Puck was hot and sexy. Becca constantly said she couldn't figure out what he was but I think he was hot. He saved her and was madly in love with and didn't even know it. He watched and protected her for 5 years. If that doesn't say love I don't know what does. Becca was a little annoying. She couldn't figure out what she wanted. It drove me crazy. One minute she wanted Puck, the next she didn't. I could only guess how Puck felt with her mood changes. Becca had a habit of over explaining things and that was a little annoying too. I know that's how the character was written but it was still annoying nonetheless.

Puck and Becca's chemistry was crazy hot off the charts. From the beginning that had some serious chemistry no matter how hard they fought it, it was there. Once that got together, they were explosive. They had some very steamy sex scenes. Becca was one lucky lady.  Puck was loyal to Becca. He kept her save and he made it known to her how much he wanted her. He was also a little bit of an asshole. He would only think sometimes with one head and it wasn't the one on his shoulders. He didn't care if they were arguing or if Becca was mad, when he wanted it, he wanted it right then.

I didn't like Becca's mom or step-dad or their role in the book but I guess the book needed a plot and drama and that was them. I am glad her step-dad got what he deserved in the end but I wish her mom would have gotten something. She played Becca and let her step-dad treat her bad and did nothing. Becca's mom is suppose to protect and love her but all she loved was her drugs. I don't really like parents like that. And I don't like reading about them.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. I hope it comes out soon. There are some people I would love to read about. Maybe, Danielle or Shane. There were some serious great side characters in this book that would make great lead characters for the next book.

Silver Bastard (Silver Valley #1) by Joanna Wylde

Teaser 1:
“Have I ever hurt you?” I asked her, abruptly. “Aside from that one night, have I ever done a goddamned thing to make you think I would even dream of hurting you?”
Becca shook her head quickly.
“No.”
“Then stop looking at me like I’m a serial killer and get in the fucking truck already. I really don’t have time for this and I can’t leave you here. Move your ass.”

Teaser 2:
“Okay, come over here so I can wash your hair.”
I reached for my shirt, pulling it up and over my head. Becca’s mouth twisted like she’d been eating lemons.
“What?”
“Why did you take off your shirt?”

Teaser 3:
“I think you tore strips out of my back,” he said. I turned him around in the tiny space.
“Crap.” Sure enough, my nails had left bright red trails of blood dripping across his skin. “That’s a little gruesome. I’m really sorry.”
“I’m not,” he said. “I like playing rough, Becca. You push as hard as you want.”

Reaper's Stand (Reaper's MC #4) by Joanna Wylde

I love biker books. I think they're my favorite kind of book to read sometimes. There is just something about a sexy, strong, tattooed biker that makes me so happy. Reaper's Stand was a good read, it didn't hold my attention like some of Joanna Wylde's other books, but it was still good. I did think there was something missing. It had the biker, the drama, a strong female and the hot sex, but something was lacking for me and I couldn't figure it out.

I love Picnic. I thought he was a great dad that lost his wife and raised his kids on his won and deserved happiness more than any of the bikers. I'm glad he finally got that. I didn't like London so much. I thought she was strong but not for Picnic. I saw him with someone completely different than her. London was independent, strong, took care of herself and her responsibilities, had her own business and didn't sleep around, but there was something missing with her. She didn't fit into the biker world. When I compared London to the other biker old lady's she just doesn't fit to me. She's way beyond different than them.

Jessica was annoying to me. I know she has problems and was acting like a normal teenager too. But WTF. I didn't act like her and I didn't know anyone that did. She needed a good spanking, maybe that would have straighten her butt out some.

I think when there is more books in the series, the books start losing the greatest that the first couple of books had. Reaper's Stand was great in its own way but when it follows the books Reaper's Legacy and Devil's Game, it just doesn't compete. It isn't even in the same category. I loved those books and  thought they were beyond great.

I hope if there is more books in the series that it picks back up the greatest that I love so much about the series. I hope it's Painter's story too. I'm glad Emmy is with Hunter and I felt bad for Painter didn't get the girl, so I hope there is someone for him. Maybe Mellie.

Reaper's Stand (Reapers MC #4) by Joanna Wylde

Synopsis:
As Reapers Motorcycle Club president, Reese “Picnic” Hayes has given his entire life to the club. After losing his wife, he knew he’d never love another woman. And with two daughters to raise and a club to manage, that was just fine with him. These days, Reese keeps his relationships free and easy—he definitely doesn’t want to waste his time on a glorified cleaning lady like London Armstrong.

Too bad he’s completely obsessed with her.

Besides running her own business, London’s got her junkie cousin’s daughter to look after—a more reckless than average eighteen-year-old. Sure she’s attracted to the Reapers’ president, but she’s not stupid. Reese Hayes is a criminal and a thug. But when her young cousin gets caught up with a ruthless drug cartel, Reese might be the only man who can help her. Now London has to make the hardest decision of her life—how far will she go to save her family?

Teaser 1:
"Just let me be strong for you for a minute, okay?" he said softly. "You've held on for a long time, sweetheart. Nobody can say you haven't been strong. But it's been a hell of a night, so why don't you let me hold you and help you right now."

Teaser 2:
"Yeah, sort of picked up on that," he whispered into my ear, nuzzling at it. "Kind hot when you get all embarrassed."
"I'm not embarrassed." I insisted. "I just don't have a potty mouth."
He stilled.
"Did you seriously just use the phase 'potty mouth'?"
I giggled. "I think I did."
"Okay, let's try this again. Tell me what you want me to do."

Devil's Game (Reapers MC #3) by Joanna Wylde

Devil's Game was great. I had been waiting forever for this book and it lived up to all my expectations. I love Joanna Wylde and the Reapers MC series. This book had to be the best in the series so far. I loved the storyline and the character development.

Em is a great heroine. She has a take no shit from anyone personality. She can be a sweetheart but she did grow up in a motorcycle club, so she knows how to fight when it was necessary. She is tired of living under her dad's watchful eye. She is tired of wanting someone that doesn't want her back. She just wants to be independent and be her own person. She meets Liam and thinks he is the one. He then kidnaps her and she finds out he is a liar. She doesn't want to want Liam but is drawn to him. Em has always been my favorite character and I was glad she finally got a book and a happy ending.

Liam is a Devil's Jack. He is sent to watch Em the Reaper's president's daughter. The minute he sees her, he wants her. There is something about Em that gets to him. Liam is dangerous, is part of the rival MC club and can't stay away from Em. He is an asshole, talks super dirty and knows how to turn Em on. He thinks she deserves so much more than she thinks she does.

Devil's Game starts off with back stories of Em and Liam's childhood. Then it goes to the part that's in Reaper's Legacy when Em meets Liam at the bar. We finally find out what happen with Em and Liam after he kidnapped her and what went down at the house. Em and Liam have a Romeo and Juliet love story thing going on. They're not suppose to want each other or be together but are. Liam's brother basically tells Em to stay away from Liam. She's no good for him. Em's dad and some other Reapers tell Em to stay away from Liam but she doesn't. Liam makes Em his old lady. To Em that means everything. Some big things go down between the clubs and almost destroys their relationship. Em's dad learns to accept their relationship. He sees how much Liam loves her and is willing to risk to be with her. Liam and Em move in together at the end. The Devil's Jacks want to use her as a neutral territory. They aren't going to hurt her since she is a Devil's Jacks old lady and the Reapers won't hurt her since she is part of their MC club.

The book is great. I loved it all. The dirty talk was my favorite. Liam knew how to talk dirty. I think he has the dirtiest mouth of all the MC club members. There were that many steamy moments between Liam and Em but what was in the book did the trick. They were great and held nothing back. There is also a sneak peek into Picnic story that comes out next in the series.

Devil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) by Joanna Wylde

Synopsis:
Liam "Hunter" Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil's Jack, he knows his duty. He'll defend his club from their oldest enemies-the Reapers-using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers' president has a daughter who's alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club's president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger-a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he's The One. Or so she thinks.

Teaser 1:
“Em, I really like you. We covered that. I like you enough not to play games¸ okay? That means I’m not gonna feed you any romantic bullshit.”
Huh. Wasn’t sure how to take that. On the one hand, I didn’t want him lying to me. On the other, I didn’t like the honesty, either. Made it too hard to pretend that this wasn’t completely insane.
“So let’s lay it all out,” I said. “You want to fuck me, but you don’t care about me. I want to fuck you, but trust me, every time you open your mouth, I care about you less.”
“Pretty much,” he muttered.

Teaser 2:
“Sorry, babe. Can’t let you do that.”
“Do what?”
“Drive to Coeur d’Alene by yourself.”
I raised my brows.
“Have you lost your mind? Consider yourself uninvited to Thanksgiving, asshole.”

Reaper's Legacy by Joanna Wylde

So, I read Reaper's Legacy again and there are some unanswered questions that started to really bother me. I know if the author was to answer them in the book, it might seem pointless or drag the story on but I kind of want to know.

Unanswered Questions:
  1. What happen to her neighbor Miranda from Seattle? Did they let her go? I know they said they would before the Devil Jacks came to get her bf but how did they let her go and her not run to cops before they left town?
  2. How could Em stay behind in Idaho with the Reapers but her younger sister was away at college? Did she not want to go to college or was Pic too overprotective of her?
  3. Did Sophie ever talk to Maggs about the whole show Buck your boobs thing that happen at the party? She said she was but it never said if she did. I want to know what happen with their conversation.
  4. Did Ruger ever talk to Maggs about the Buck/boob incident? He said he wanted to have a word with her too.
  5. Did Sophie ever find out what Horse meant by Marie was worth every penny he paid for her? Ruger never told her, he just said a little discretion would be nice. No explanation. Nothing.
  6. Why didn't Hunter go back to the cabin where he was holding Sophie and Em? He went to meet Ruger and Pic but by the time they got to the cabin, he still hadn't shown up. I doubt he would just leave the girls and one of his brothers there.
  7. What happen to Skid after the kidnapping? The Reapers were going to dump him somewhere alive instead of killing him so it wouldn't start something with the Devil Jacks.
  8. What did Em say in Pic's ear at the cabin after they were found?
  9. Why was Em acting shady with the whole kidnapping thing? I don't know if it was just me but it seemed like she was in on it or knew about it. Something wasn't right with it.
  10. How did Zach find Sophie? He had to know where she was before. Ruger still talked to her and he at one point paid child support. So he should have been able to find her pretty easily but he waited until she was back in Idaho to contact her.
  11. Why did it take Sophie 4 years to tell Ruger what really happen between her and Zach? Couldn't she have told him at some point before she did?
  12. How could she be okay to have sex on the roof of a building which is out in the open and anybody could see but not be okay with sex in a shed which is more private?
  13. Did Sophie's parent ever want to see Noah?
  14. What happen to Zach's parents? I know his stepmom passed away but he had to have other parents. Why didn't they want anything to do with Noah.
I know these aren't that important of questions but I was just wondering about them. I might have more but these were the only ones I could think of right now.

Reaper's Legacy (Reapers MC #2) by Joanna Wylde

I loved this book. It wasn't what I expected. I don't really know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. I don't know if that a good thing or not. Reaper's Legacy seemed a little short to me. It seemed like the book just started and then it was ending.

I loved Ruger. He was my favorite character in Reaper's Property. He was super sexy and sweet all in one. He made it seem like he was some bad ass biker but deep down he was a big softy. He took care of Sophie and Noah. They weren't his problem or his to take care of but he made sure he was always there for them when ever they needed him. He helped out Sophie all the time. I liked that he was a night in shining armor but on a bike instead of a horse.

Sophie wasn't my favorite person. She didn't seem like she was strong. She was a young single mom and I give her credit for that but it seem like she needed someone to take care of her instead of her taking care of herself. She also annoyed me that she kept sort of leading Ruger on. She wanted him but she pushed him away. I would have taken Ruger anyway he let me but what he was offering her wasn't good enough for her.

Reaper's Legacy isn't a typically love story but it is a love story all the same. Ruger was in love with Sophie for so long he just didn't realized it sooner. I think Sophie wanted Ruger the minute she saw him at his apartment. It took them long enough to realized they wanted and needed each other and when they finally did, I was so happy. I was jumping for joy.

The little twist about Sophie's past with Ruger threw me. I didn't see that coming and I enjoyed it. I think my favorite part was when Sophie realized what Ruger's tattoos on his shoulders were. I thought that was very sweet.

I can't wait for the next book, Devil's Game.

Reaper's Legacy (Reapers MC #2) by Joanna Wylde

Synopsis:
Eight years ago, Sophie gave her heart—and her virginity—to Zach Barrett on a night that couldn’t have been less romantic or more embarrassing. Zach’s step-brother, a steely-muscled, tattooed biker named Ruger, caught them in the act, getting a peep show of Sophie he’s never forgotten. She may have lost her dignity that fateful night, but Sophie also gained something precious—her son Noah. Unfortunately, Zach’s a deadbeat dad, leaving Ruger to be Noah’s only male role model. When he discovers Sophie and his nephew living in near poverty, Ruger takes matters into his own hands—with the help of the Reapers Motorcycle Club—to give them a better life. Living with outlaw bikers wasn’t Sophie’s plan for her son, but Ruger isn’t giving her a choice. He’ll be there for Noah, whether she wants him or not. But Sophie does want him, has always wanted him. Now she’ll learn that taking a biker to bed can get a girl dirty in every way.

Teaser:
“When a man takes a woman as his property, it’s not about owning her,” he continued, eyes searching my face. “It’s about trusting her. This is my life I’m handing you, Sophie. Not just my life—my brothers’ lives, too. It means I’m responsible for everything you do. You fuck up, I’ll pay. You need help, we’re there. You’re the only woman I’ve ever met that I’d consider giving that kind of power to. Hell, I’m not just considering it, I’m desperate for you to take it.”

Out January 28, 2014.
