Incandescent (Knights Rebels MC #1) by River Savage

I know Incandescent has been out for awhile but I just finally got around to reading it. I always love a good Motorcycle Club book but this one wasn't that good it was mediocre. It didn't even seem like a motorcycle biker book to me. The guys said they were in a club and they all rode motorcycles but that is pretty much it.

It annoys me as a reader when I read a book and the timeline doesn't add up right. It shouldn't bother me at all, it is just a book and not real, but I like the timeline to add up to what is happening. I know some people don't probably care about the time, days, and seasons adding up but I do. For example, (mind you they say what day it is) Kadence spelt with Nix on a Saturday, left his house on a Sunday and then saw him again on Friday for a parent teacher meeting. Then she goes on to say to say it's been 10 days since she last saw him at the meeting and it's a Saturday, which it would be Monday actually. The author does this a lot during the book and it made it hard for me to try to enjoy the book when I'm trying to think what day it actually is.

Also, Kadence is always saying something happen last week, which is confusing, because most of the stuff she is talking about happening, happens weeks before hand. It's like the author got confused at what was going on and what she wrote.

What I loved about this book...
1. The dirty talk. Good lord did Nix know how to dirty talk. I should have been offended by the shit that came out of his mouth or maybe a little embarrassed but I wasn't. I want to meet someone with his dirty mouth in real life.
2. The banter and playful arguing between Kadence and Nix. It was fun, lighthearted and boy did it always turn into something more.
3. The dual POVs. I always love a book that is in both characters perspectives.
4. Holly and Sy. There weird relationship was more interesting to me than Kadence and Nix's relationship.
5. Zayden. He was a great little kid that added a little to this book. I enjoyed reading scenes that he was in.
6. Jesse. He was a huge flirt that was funny. I liked his character. He made the book a little better too.

What I hated about this book...
1. The repeating of everything. I got told and retold of what happening several times and it was pointless. Nix would say how he was feeling in one chapter and then the next chapter that was in his POV he retold how he was feeling before he got to anything new. It was like this the whole book. I started skipping parts that talked about the same things. I don't need a detailed summary of what's happening in every chapter.
2. Although I loved Holly and Sy's relationship, Holly seemed a little boring to me. I wouldn't want her as a best friend. The author tried to make her seem fun and genuine but all I got was boring. She tried to hard to be someone else.
3. Everything Nix did turned Kadence on. The way he talked to his son, the way he played catch with his son, the way he stood still, the way he drove. I mean everything he did was a major turn on for Kadence. It was annoying hearing how much he turned her on every time she saw him.
4. Addison. I think the author put her in the book for the sole purpose to make Kadence look better. I didn't see any other reason she was in this book at all. The author could have easily said Zayden's mom wasn't in the picture and left it as that, but instead she put her in the book and made her a horrible person that caused issues.
5. Beau having a issue with Kadence cause she ditched him while he was watching her. He made it a huge issue and was mad at her the whole book. He's a grown man, biker and in a MC, but he was acting like a little baby. Who cares that she ditched him, she's a grown women, she didn't need a babysitter.

There wasn't anything big that happen in the book or any big issues that caused serious issues for the couple. The book was okay to me, but it could have been a lot better. It had great potential. I am sort of excited to read Holly and Sy's story. It seems way more interesting and I hope it doesn't disappoint me.

Lately I haven't been reading much. After several horrible books it seems I have lost interest in reading. My kindle is full of books I want to read and that seem interesting but I haven't gotten to them, yet. Every book I read seems good and interesting at first until I read a whole chapter and then I am sadly let down. I am tried of being let down with a horrible book so for now I don't read. I stop mid point with a book name Hurricane or something that seemed promising and had so much potential with hot fighter tattoo guy and shy girl, but it too was a major let down after a couple of chapters. I will finish it, eventually, it just seems to be taking me awhile.

I am in serious need of a really great book. A book that questions everything I have read before and makes me want to re-read the book over and over again. I want a great love story with a super sexy guy mixed with a little humor. I want the girl to be great and not a sad little scared pushover. I need a great book. I miss reading great books that I'm still thinking about days later. Great books that I tell my friends and family about. Great book with great characters that I wish I could meet in real life and be friends with them. I want to go to that happy place that I always escape to while reading. I miss that happy place.

I read a quote once, I don't remember where it was from or who said it but it has always stuck with me. It said "A great book should leave you with many experiences and slightly exhausted, you live several lives with reading." I want to experience that again. I loved when books take me to a different place and I get wrap up in the characters. Reading for me is what watching certain tv shows is to many people. You get wrap up in the story, the characters, the plot, the lives and can't wait to find out what is going to happen next. I miss that. I need that again. I want that again. Hopefully, I found that again soon. I miss reading.

When I'm Gone (Rosemary Beach #11) by Abbi Glines

Teaser 1:
"Sorry. I couldn't help myself. Good night, Resse."
"Good night, Mase."
"Sweet Dreams."
He had no idea how sweet they would turn out to be.

Teaser 2:
"No. No. Don't. This is... fuck baby. I don't have words for what this is," he said, then let out a hard laugh as he laid his head back against the sofa and stared at the ceiling. "I need another minute."

Teaser 3:
"OK. The know that when you're ready, I will be, too," I finally said.
She let out a heavy sigh, the smiled weakly at me. "Thank you for wanting me."

Teaser 4:
"Eyes on mine, Reese." His tone was husky and deep. This was exciting him.
I snapped my gaze back at his, and he winked at me. "That's better. I want those pretty blue eyes on mine. When I kiss you, don't close them. Keep them on me. OK?"

Silver Bastard (Silver Valley #1) by Joanna Wylde

Teaser 1:
“Have I ever hurt you?” I asked her, abruptly. “Aside from that one night, have I ever done a goddamned thing to make you think I would even dream of hurting you?”
Becca shook her head quickly.
“Then stop looking at me like I’m a serial killer and get in the fucking truck already. I really don’t have time for this and I can’t leave you here. Move your ass.”

Teaser 2:
“Okay, come over here so I can wash your hair.”
I reached for my shirt, pulling it up and over my head. Becca’s mouth twisted like she’d been eating lemons.
“Why did you take off your shirt?”

Teaser 3:
“I think you tore strips out of my back,” he said. I turned him around in the tiny space.
“Crap.” Sure enough, my nails had left bright red trails of blood dripping across his skin. “That’s a little gruesome. I’m really sorry.”
“I’m not,” he said. “I like playing rough, Becca. You push as hard as you want.”

The Object Of His Desire by S.R. Watson

This was the first book I have read by S.R. Watson and it will probably will be my last. I had huge hopes for this book. I had been waiting for it to come out and for me to get my greedy hands on it forever. The synopsis and the little snippets of the book that I read made me think this book was going to be great or at least somewhat good. I was wrong, so very wrong. It was horrible to me. The cover will draw a female in to read it but the story sucks.

I felt like I was reading about teenagers with the way that acted. I originally thought the characters were going to be in the early 20s so they might be a little mature but they acted like they were still in high school. The love triangle bothered me so much. I don't like when Thor or Landon had a girlfriend and still cheated on her. I also did like that Nevaeh knew about the girlfriend was living with the girlfriend as a roommate and yet still jumped into bed with Thor. I don't like cheaters even in books. I don't see a point in it at all.

Also Thor's girlfriend, I can't remember her name was a total bitch. She was sneaky and mean. She played the innocent good girl, I just want to be friends thing pretty good then she turned mean. I didn't see that one coming. I don't like that she tried to trap Thor with a pregnancy, that shit never works out.

Thor and Nevaeh kept saying they were gonna wait to have sex until he broke up with his girlfriend but then 5 minutes later they were in bed together. It made no sense. They couldn't have some self control for a little while. Nevaeh bothered me so much. She was a virgin and for some reason had a problem with being one. I don't know what authors always make the girls and everyone else in the book have a problem with someone being a virgin. Nevaeh just bugged the hell out of me and I wanted to go through the book and slap some sense into her. And of course she has some huge secret that destroys the already screwed up relationship she and Thor having going on. Thor's friends were horrible characters as well. They acted like they had no social skills or home training. I would not want to be friends or even meet those people in real life.

I for some reason having been reading some shitty books as on lately. I need a great book that has me dying to know what happens instead of dying to just finish and be done with it.
