Devil's Game (Reaper's MC #3) by Joanna Wylde

Synopsis:
Liam "Hunter" Blake hates the Reapers MC. Born and raised a Devil's Jack, he knows his duty. He'll defend his club from their oldest enemies-the Reapers-using whatever weapons he can find. But why use force when the Reapers' president has a daughter who's alone and vulnerable? Hunter has wanted her from the minute he saw her, and now he has an excuse to take her. Em has lived her entire life in the shadow of the Reapers. Her overprotective father, Picnic, is the club's president. The last time she had a boyfriend, Picnic shot him. Now the men in her life are far more interested in keeping her daddy happy than showing her a good time. Then she meets a handsome stranger-a man who isn't afraid to treat her like a real woman. One who isn't afraid of her father. His name is Liam, and he's The One. Or so she thinks.

Teaser 1:
“Em, I really like you. We covered that. I like you enough not to play games¸ okay? That means I’m not gonna feed you any romantic bullshit.”
Huh. Wasn’t sure how to take that. On the one hand, I didn’t want him lying to me. On the other, I didn’t like the honesty, either. Made it too hard to pretend that this wasn’t completely insane.
“So let’s lay it all out,” I said. “You want to fuck me, but you don’t care about me. I want to fuck you, but trust me, every time you open your mouth, I care about you less.”
“Pretty much,” he muttered.

Teaser 2:
“Sorry, babe. Can’t let you do that.”
“Do what?”
“Drive to Coeur d’Alene by yourself.”
I raised my brows.
“Have you lost your mind? Consider yourself uninvited to Thanksgiving, asshole.”

Until Series by Aurora Rose Reynolds

I read the whole Until Series in about a week. I originally didn't have any desire to read the books but then I read the synopsis for Until Nico and I was hooked. I had to read the series and I am glad I did. I saw some similarities between the Until Series and A Neighbor From Hell Series.

Until November is the first book in the series and it was okay. There was something off about the book. I don't know if it was the writing or the author didn't know what she was doing but something with the book bothered me. I loved the character November and Asher. I loved their storyline. I loved the Asher was protective of November and his banter with his brothers. I wish their would have been more of his brothers in his story. What bothered me was how within days of meeting each other, they were already living together. I thought that was way too soon. One of the could have been an ax murderer or something. I also didn't like the mother not liking her child thing. It seems like it is over played in books. The author always wants the reader to like the main chick in the book and makes the mom hated her daughter thinking that will make the main chick likeable. But instead it just makes me feel sorry for the girl and wonder why the author did that. Asher being a player until his BOOM as everyone calls it is a little different. He was a man whore until he found his one and then his whole life changed and it was about her. The BOOM part was different and I liked it. I thought the author could have came back up with a better name than November and the kids names too weren't that great either.

Until Trevor is the second book and the second oldest Mayson boy. I thought he was the hottest and sweetest one. I fell head over hells in love with Trevor. I was surprised that even though Liz was his BOOM how could he push her away. Liz and Trevor's love story was my favorite. When Trevor realized he wanted Liz he did everything in his power to make her his. He wanted to be her best friend and lover. Trevor messed up with Liz when they first met and he knew he hurt her. I guess in a way he wasn't ready for the feelings he was feeling for Liz. I loved that Liz seemed sweet and shy but she had a backbone and wasn't afraid to tell Trevor off. They had some pretty steamy sex scenes. I like how the author caught us up on November and Asher too.

Until Lilly was okay. I didn't really like it. Cash gave up his true love because he got another girl pregnant and then trying to win Lilly back just didn't sit well with me. If he loved Lilly like he claimed too, he would have done everything to be with her. I didn't like Jules, Cash's crazy ex. Lilly was a good mom to her daughter and I liked how she step in and took care of Cash's son. Some women have a problem taking care of someone else's kid but she didn't. I loved the role the kids played in the book. They were adorable. I think if it wasn't for the kids, Cash and Lilly wouldn't have found their way back to each other. There was a creepy guy named David that has a thing for Lilly and there is something about him that rubs Cash the wrong way. In Until Nico we found out whats really wrong with the David guy.

I had though Trevor was my favorite but I was wrong. Nico was my favorite. He was sexy, tattooed and a bad boy. He didn't believe any of the BOOM nonsense his brothers had falling victim too Until he met his BOOM. He didn't think returning a lost cell phone would have him meeting his love. He wanted her the moment he saw her. Sophie is sweet and innocent. She has a past that has made things difficult for her. Nico understand everything and goes slow with her. He wants her and will do anything to be with her. Sophie is scared to meet his family and makes it difficult for Nico at times. She tries to push him away but he keeps coming back. Once Sophie realizes she ain't getting rid of Nico no matter how hard she tries, she gives in to him. Their relationship takes off pretty fast after that but it's perfect for their love story. Nico keeps telling Sophie he wants her pregnant. I would think it would be a little fast for me, just meeting a guy a couple of months before but Sophie likes the idea eventually. Sophie does get pregnant quick. She also has a stalker that makes her and Nico's life miserable. She is scared and sleeps very little. Nico does everything to protect her. Sophie does get kidnapped and almost murdered but Nico saves her. Past characters make appearances in this book. And I loved catching up with them and seeing what they were doing.

I loved this series and am glad I read it. I wish there were more books in the series. I didn't really like it at first but then it got good. I couldn't put the books down.

Stealing Harper (Taking Chances #2) by Molly McAdams

Stealing Harper is Chase POV of Taking Chances. I didn't like Taking Chances at all. I don't like the love triangle thing. Someone always get hurt. I know it's just a book and that the love triangle isn't real but I still feel bad for the other character that get his heart broken. I was excited for this book however. I wanted to know what was going on in Chase's head.

I loved Chase and Harper's chemistry. It was crazy. They clearly had feeling for each other. What bothered me most with this book and Taking Chances besides the love triangle was...
  1. I don't understand why Chase didn't admit his feeling her Harper before she got with Brandon. The whole love triangle would never had happen if he just told Harper, he wanted her.
  2. Why didn't Chase tell Brandon to leave Harper alone. He wanted her. Brandon asked Chase several times if anything was going on with him and Harper. Chase always said no. If he would have said yes, Brandon would have left her alone.
  3. Why did Brandon go after Harper when he could tell something was going on with Harper and Chase even thought they denied it. Brandon saw Chase wanted her. He saw Harper wanted Chase, so why.
  4. Why did Harper even get with Brandon when she wanted Chase. I know she didn't want to wait around for something that was never going to happen with Chase but why did she have to get with Brandon. She should have just stay single instead of hopping into a relationship.
  5. Harper rubbing her relationship with Brandon in Chase's face. It seemed to me, she was trying to make Chase jealous.
  6. How could Harper not know that Chase wanted her. There were signs every time he was around her.
  7. I hate that Harper had Brandon but still wanted Chase. She supposedly love Brandon but cheats on him with Chase. She lets Chase kiss her and has sex with him. She wouldn't even have sex with Brandon.
  8. I think Harper never loved Brandon. She was just with him because she didn't want to be alone and she thought Chase didn't want her.
  9. Brandon and Chase had no bro code. Everyone in the book kept saying Brandon and Chase were like brothers but I didn't see it. It seemed like they were roommates that got along a little bit before Harper showed up. If Brandon was like a brother to Chase he would have never went after Harper when he could tell something was going on with them.
I hated the ending. I knew it was coming and Chase was going to die. But having to read the accident and everything made me hate it more than when I read it the first time in Taking Chances. I don't see why he had to die. Chase was my favorite character in the series and I was heart broken when he died. I wish Harper would have gotten her head out of her ass and seen Chase wanted her way before she did.  I didn't like Brandon. He was a guy, he could tell Chase wanted Harper and it didn't stop him from going after her.

Overwhelmed By You (Tear Asunder #2) By Nashoda Rose

I was dying for Overwhelmed By You to come out. I was wishing this book came out before Torn From You. It was a great book but I was expecting something completely different than I read. I love how the author writes about stuff that is happening to real people in real life. It's a little more relatable. I also love that the characters from Torn From You made an appearance in this book. I love knowing what they're up too.

I had love Ream in Torn From You. I loved that he was an asshole, mean and cocky. However, in Overwhelmed By You, he was different that I originally thought he was going to be. Kat is a strong women. I think she is the strongest woman I have ever read a story about. She has gone through a lot and stills finds a way to get up every morning.

I thought I had the whole story figured out. I thought it was going to be able a girl wanting the hot rocker guy. Him going through a faze where he doesn't think he is good enough for her and then realizing she is the one when she tries moving on. Overwhelmed By You is nothing like that. The book gives a little back story to Kat and Ream's relationship. They both have a crazy past. Kat lost her parents when she was really young and she got diagnosed with MS when she was a teenager. She doesn't think anyone will accept her with her illness and hides it. Ream's mom stole him to drug dealers to pay off her debt to them. He has done some pretty crazy and horrible stuff. He also killed a guy that was hurting his sister and thinks he lost his sister to a drug overdose.

Ream finds out about Kat's illness. At first he thinks she's a druggie and that pissed him off. He later finds out what is going on and tries to make it up to her. She doesn't want anything to do with him. Ream has been on tour and just gets back in town and makes in his mission to win Kat back. Kat is mad and hurt and doesn't want Ream's pity. They go through some stuff and he does everything in his power to win her over. She caves in. But right when she thinks she is gonna get her happily ever after, she finds Ream in bed with another woman and man.

Kat is heart broken. She tries to move on, then she gets kidnapped. Ream comes to her rescue. That when she learns about his past. The woman that kidnapped Kat is a girl that Ream knew when he was younger. She was the drug dealer's daughter and in love with Ream. She was mad when he left. Ream makes a deal with her, he will stay if Kat gets to leave. Kat is arguing with him and that when this other girl walks in and kills the female from Ream's past. She is Ream's sister Heaven. She wasn't dead. She has been alive this whole time and trying to protect Ream.

That was basically the end of the book. Some other stuff happens but it wasn't that big of a deal. Kat and Ream get together again. He wants only her. And she wants just him. His past doesn't change her opinion of him. She loves him.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. Cris and Heaven's story. I hope it is just as good or even better than the other books in the series.

Nash (Marked Men #4) by Jay Crownover

Nash was alright. I had thought it was going to be better than it actually was. When it follows the books Rule and Rome which I loved, I had high hopes for this one too. It didn't live up to those books. The storyline itself is great. It dealt with some pretty big stuff that people have to deal with everyday. Everyone and anyone can relate to Nash and his problems.

I originally loved Nash in the previous book and I loved him in this book too.  However, I didn't like Saint. She was too much of a weak person. Nash needed someone strong to fit into his world and his group of friends and Saint wasn't it. She lived too much in the past. I know the past can have a big impact on the way a person is in the future but Saint took it a little far with the past stuff.

Nash had to deal with some pretty big stuff. I was surprise he could get over finding out the guy he thought was his uncle his whole life was really his dad and then him dying. I also like that the other people from previous book made an appearance in this one. I always like knowing what the other characters are doing. I didn't like Nash's mom and stepdad. I think they were rude. I don't care if she didn't want a kid, she end up having Nash so she needed to get over herself and be a mom.

Nash and Saint met in high school. Saint had a huge crush on Nash. Saint overheard Nash talking about someone who Nash doesn't even remember talking about and Saint's feelings got hurt in the process. Now, they're adults, Saint is a successful nurse at the hospital that it seems like Nash keeps having to visit since everyone he loves keeps getting hurt and sent there. Nash sees Saint as someone worth all the trouble. He wants her. Saint has walls up since Nash hurt her before. She's scared of letting him and everyone else in too. She shy and awkward and doesn't want to be let down. They go through all the ups and downs in a relationship. Nash gets to a point where he's tired of trying to figure out Saint. Saint thinks she's messed up the best thing ever to happen to her. She realizes she's worth it and goes back to Nash. Nash's dad dies. Saint helps him. All of Saint's walls come down. The end.

Rowdy is the next book in the series and I can't wait. Rowdy is a mystery to me. He doesn't really make much of an appearance in the previous books so I can't wait to get in his head.
