Double Dare (Neighbor From Hell #6) by R.L. Mathewson

I love the Neighbor From Hell Series. I can't get enough of this series. It's one of the best series I have read. I love all the Bradford men and I can honestly say I would have a hard time picking my favorite man. I love their obsession with food and yes it's an obsession. They can't enough of food; it's a little crazy. I love food and eating just as much as the next person but they take their food eating serious.

Double Dare is just like most of the other books in the series. Crazy food obsessed Bradford man. It's funny, hot and has a hint of seriousness to it. Darrin is a hot sexy cop that isn't afraid of a little dare. Marybeth has been around the Bradford boys ever since she was a kid. Their craziness and food loving selves can't scare her away. All the Bradfords love her and consider her family. Some of the past characters make appearance in this book. Mostly, Jason and Trevor and a little Danny.

Darrin is in love with his best friend Marybeth. He has always wanted her even though she's just in it for the sex. I could tell Marybeth wanted Darrin just as much as he wanted her, she was just too in her head. It drove me crazy. I wanted to scream at her and strangle her at the same time. Marybeth is a strong woman. Everything she has gone through since she was a teenager has made her the person she is. Darrin has a fun side and I loved that about him. It seems all the Bradford are funny and love food.

While I loved this book, there was something missing that made it great. The first couple of books in the series were wonderful but with the last couple of books, something is missing and I can't figure it out. I know in this book I didn't like how the sentences just ended during mid sentence. It was annoying. I want to read complete sentences. The book jumped around a little and I didn't like that too much. Double Dare starts with Marybeth and Darrin already hooking up and I would have like to read how that came about. It said how they met and became friends but ended there. Also, Darrin gives Marybeth a choice, get married or they're done and then the next chapter they're married. It didn't say how that happen or anything. I would finish one chapter and the next chapter would be talking about something else and I felt like I missed something. It was a little confusing. The book was said to be read after The Game Plan but I don't think that's really necessary. They are two complete different books that just share some characters.

The next book in the series in Reese's story and I am looking forward to that one. I hope it turns out great like the first couple of books in the series. It does look promising.

Double Dare (A Neighbor From Hell #6) by R.L. Mathewson

I love A Neighbor From Hell Series. It's one of my favorite series of all time and the latest book Double Dare has finally got a cover and a release date.  It is to be release in March but a for sure date has been set. I am so excited. I hope it lives up to the series. The last book The Game Plan wasn't that great to me. So I hope this book is way better.

The Game Plan (A Neighbor From Hell #5) by R.L. Mathewson

The Game Plan is the 5th book in the Neighbor From Hell series. I had high hopes for this book. I had waited what seemed like for ever for this book and was sadly let down. It didn't suck but it wasn't great to me either. I absolutely love the series and can't get enough of it, but this book wasn't like the other books in the series. It lacked a lot of what makes the series so great.

The other books are always super funny and have steamy sex scenes and The Game Plan didn't have that. There were some funny moments but it wasn't like the other books. Normally, I laugh out loud and this one I barely cracked a little smile. I always loved how the Bradford men love their food and are crazy about eating and everything and anything that deals with food and The Game Plan didn't have that. It had some but it was scaled down a lot. The sex was even sucky. There was barely any in the book.

Bradford men normally are crazy about their girl too and Danny wasn't crazy about Jodi. He knew he wanted her but he wasn't crazy like the men in the books previous him. I loved that some of the past characters from the other books made little appearances. I think if it wasn't for them, I would have stop reading the book instead of finishing it.

The characters were okay. They had a lot of background. Danny was a typically Bradford man. He was tall, sexy and built in every way possible. Jodi was a bit annoying. She friendzone every guy that got close to her. She thought of herself of every guy's kid sister instead of something that could be desireable. She had low self esteem. She whined a lot about how her ex was horrible and left her with debt. She too was annoyed and didn't like Danny at first but every girl that meets a Bradford man never likes them at first. Danny was always talking about his game plan with Jodi which got annoying.

The book in told in multiple POVs and it would have been nice if the author wrote at the beginning of the chapter whose POV I was reading from. It was sort of confusing trying to figure it out. There were also so many errors with spelling and grammar. Also it was stupid how the author wrote and sentence and stop in the middle. She did it several times. I want to read full sentences not be stop mid way through. The book was also hard to follow in some parts. It seemed to jump around a little bit.

I hope the next book in the series is better and it has all the greatness that comes with the series.

Truce: The Historic Neighbor From Hell (Neighbor From Hell #4) by R.L. Mathewson

This book is definitely a must read. I love all the Neighbor From Hell Series but I think this one is my favorite. The character are still funny like all the other books in the series. This book took place way back in the day in the 1800s. It's about how the Bradfords become the Bradfords. I loved this book.

It starts out with Jason making his wife a gift for their 5th wedding anniversary and Jason's dad deciding to tell the story of how they became who they are today. He tells the story of how their great great great great, etc. grandfather Robert met his wife Elizabeth and married her after a couple of weeks and moved to America.

Robert and Elizabeth were neighbors and enemies growing up. Robert hated her and Elizabeth couldn't stand him. They always were playing pranks on each other and driving each other insane. Elizabeth's parents drag her to a ball  one night so she can find her a husband. Elizabeth has no use for a husband. She want to stay single and have control over her own life. To escape the ball, Elizabeth goes to the orangery. While there, she meets a guy. They talk and hang out but don't know who the other person is. The end up having sex and going back to the ball that where they are introduced to each other and the Bradford possessiveness that I loved comes out to play.

Robert is the guy from the orangery. Their banter and playfulness starts right back up where it had left off. Elizabeth's parents want her to marry Robert's brother James but Robert isn't allowing that. Robert is crazy about Elizabeth and accidentally gets pregnant. Robert marries her against her will. After the wedding, they think she miscarriages and their families try to make them get an annulment.

Robert and Elizabeth decide to stay together and move to America. They realize they both love each other in their own way.

They're isn't that many sex moments but it still has the funny parts. I love this series. I never laughed so hard or swoon so much in one book before. I love the Bradford's craziness with the food and women.
