Stay With Me (Wait For You #3) by Jennifer Armentrout

I loved this book, then again I love the whole series. Jennifer Armentrout knows how to write and capture an audience. Jax and Calla are great together. I think they give Cam and Avery a run for the money in the cute factor.

Calla had a bad life. Her house caught fire when she was a kid, she got burned pretty bad. Her back is a complete mess with scars and she has scars on her face and chest that are just as bad but has had surgery on. She lost her young brothers in the fire, her dad left soon after the fire and her mom turned into a druggie. She had to deal with everything on her own for a long while until she escapes and goes away to college. Then her mom steals her money for school and forces her to go back home, just to find out her mom's druggie friends are after her. Those bad people make Calla's life worse. They threaten her, throw dead bodies at her door, kidnap her and shoot her. I think the only good thing was her meeting Jax. 

Jax is prefect in every way but he probably thinks different. He's sweet, a gentleman, has goals, is head over heels for Calla, he's sexy and has a good head on his shoulders. He's has been in love with Calla before Calla even knew his name. Which isn't creepy but really hot. Even though Calla has a noticeable scar on her face, he doesn't see it. He still thinks she's beautiful. He didn't have that great of a life either. He served in the military, had his sister die and saw his friends die while serving overseas. He got hurt in a road side bomb and has the scars to prove it. He drank and went through girls to help deal with the nightmares and the bomb cause.

Jax is everything Calla has wanted but didn't think was possible. She hasn't got to experience life and at 21, she is way behind her peers. She has never had a boyfriend, been kissed, had sex, ate apple pie, been drunk and the list goes on and on. Jax wants Calla and does everything to prove it to her. She doesn't think a hot guy like Jax really wants her though. Then you throw in a mean girl named Aimee that also wants Jax. She is everything Calla isn't. Aimee knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. She is also beautiful and doesn't have a scar on her face. Aimee makes Calla question everything that is happening between her and Jax.

Calla reminded me a lot of Avery in a lot of ways. She was in her head a lot. She had a traumatizing experience just like Avery and she didn't experience life. A lot of past characters made small appearances in the book which I love. I also love Katie. She seemed different and fun. I didn't like some of Calla's long inter-monologues. I hated how everytime she mentioned Aimee, she said Aimee with 1 i and 2 e's. A little annoying. It seemed like everyone in the book besides Calla and Jax had blue eyes. When Calla would describe someone they had blue eyes and was hot. 

I also wonder what is going on with Reece and Roxy. I hope the next book is about them. It seems like it could be good.

The kiss... it was wet and deep and it wasn't good or nice. It was great and everything the romance books claimed kisses were. Jax tasted me. There were no other words to describe that kind of kiss. Not when he slanted his head and touched his tongue to mine. 

Be With Me (Wait For You #2) by Jennifer Armentrout

I was very excited for Be With Me and it didn't disappoint at all. I loved Jase and Theresa together and their love story. Jase is one of my favorites since Cam in Wait For You. Be With Me was funny, heart warming and a little sad all in one. I read the book in a couple of hours. I couldn't put it down. I had to know what happen. I really loved this book. Jennifer Armentrout knows how to write a great book boyfriend. Jase and Cam make girls have high expectations of boys. It's sad to think most guys in real life aren't anything like Jase or Cam. :(

Jase has a past that has screwed him up. He thinks he is not capable of loving someone. Theresa walks in and changes all that. He wants her but he is scared of loving her. She is his best friend's younger sister. He kissed her a year ago and has regretted it ever since. He thinks it was a mistake and shouldn't of happen. He thinks Theresa won't understand him or his life. He can't let Theresa get close to him. He doesn't want for her to get hurt. Something ends up happening to her and he realized he wants her forever. She is his. Jase is a gentle-man. He doesn't try to make Theresa jealous or anything. He is sweet to her but confusing at times.

Theresa was a dancer and an accident happen that changed that for her. She decides to go to college with her brother until her leg heals. She keeps running into Jase and she can't stop thinking about the one kiss he gave her. She doesn't regret it at all and wants more. They decide to give into the attraction but then Jase regrets it afterwards. It hurts Theresa. She decides the best thing to do is to get over him. Theresa ends up getting hurt a couple of times in this book. I don't want it is about girls always being in the wrong place at the wrong time and getting hurt. However, I know Theresa was braver than I would have been after everything she went through.

There is a lot that happens in this book that made it great. Cam and Avery show up a time or two. There are little jokes, banters, bickering and turtles. Suicide/Murder. A crazy boy that like hitting girls. I loved how Jase takes care of Theresa even though he can't love her. He still tries to protect her. There is a little sneaking around so Cam doesn't find out about them.

The book did do a little foreshadowing. I kind of figured out early on that Jack was going to be Jase's kid. I didn't know how the author was going to make that happen but I like how she ended up doing it. I liked how the author doesn't do the jealously thing or the love triangle thing. Some books and authors over use those things.

Trust In Me (Wait For You #1.5) By Jennifer Armentrout

I loved this book. I love the whole series but I think this book was my favorite. Trust In Me is Cam's POV of what happens in Wait For You which is in Avery's POV. It is basically the same book but there are parts that are different. I got to see a different side to Cam, his friends, his family and what goes on in his head.

While I was reading Wait For You, I kept wondering what Cam was doing or how was he feeling and I got to find out. There are some parts in this book that aren't in Wait For You and I loved those parts. Cam hanging out with his friends, talking to his parents about Avery, and having a little heart to heart with his sister. I think Cam's relationship with his sister is what makes him so caring and loving to Avery and her problems.

Cam is one of my book boyfriends. He just is so sexy, charming, caring and funny. I will never look at cookies the same after reading this book. And I want a pet turtle now. I liked how Cam called Avery shortcake in his head through the whole book and at the end let it slip out. The way Cam describes Avery, she kind of does remind me of strawberry shortcake.

I glad the author wrote a book in Cam's POV.

What I'm Currently Reading...

I have been sick for the last couple of weeks and I didn't want to read anything that was too long or took to much time and so far this book is perfect for my sick self. It's a quick, fast pace book and I read the same book Wait For Me which is from Avery's POV. This book is in Cam's POV. It so far a little different from Wait For Me.

Wait For You by Jennifer Armentrout

Avery travels hundreds of miles to college to get away from her home life and her past. All she wants to do is start over and be normal (which is understanding with everything she went through). She wasn't expecting Cameron. He's good looking, cocky(not in a bad way) and a charmer, which can be a bad thing or maybe a good thing for Avery if she lets her guard down. On the first day of class she literally runs into Cameron. He ends up being in the class she's running late to, her partner is the class and of course, he's also her neighbor at her apartment(she doesn't figure that out until later). She tries to avoid him at all cost and he is constantly flirting/asking her out. He's always around. He bakes cookies for her and sneaks into her house every Sunday to cook her breakfast(swoon). They start up a friendship soon after. He just wants to be near her and a friend is all she can offer him.

Avery has trust issues and secrets that keep her from getting close to guys. Cameron has a past he isn't too proud of himself. Even though they're friends you can tell more is going to happen between them. Eventually, Avery does give in to Cameron. She says yes when he asks her out for the billionth time. They start dating. She gets these creepy phones calls throughout the book from a girl back home. The guy that hurt her, hurt another girl and the girl is mad at Avery for not reporting him in the first place. Avery's parents are horrible and shouldn't be consider parents. They should of had Avery's back no matter what. There is kissing and sex which Cameron doesn't push Avery into. Avery tells Cameron about her past and supports her when she wants to go home to deal with everything. He helps her deal with her past as she does him.

I felt like this book was very relatable to me. I could feel what Avery was feeling and going through. It's not always easy to trust people when unpleasant things have happen to you. Cameron is always so supportive and always has a shoulder for Avery to lean on. The texting, banter and flirting was excellent. Some things that happen between them were funny and others were very sweet. The whole cookie thing going on in this book makes it very difficult to eat a cookie and not think about Cameron. The build up to them finally getting together was a breath of fresh air. I liked the slow, get to know you process they went through.  I loved how Cameron had to really work for his date with Avery. She didn't buy into his charm or good looks or gives into him immediately like most girls would have (I know that has to do with her past more than anything).

I absolutely love this book. The author brought up some ugly topics and she didn't make Cameron the bad boy never had a girlfriend until Avery type of guy. He had a past and change before Avery showed up in his life. Cameron is definitely on my book boyfriend's list. The book is told from Avery's point of view and I seriously can't wait for Trust In You which is the story from Cameron's point of view.
